In order to perform surgery to reattach an amputated hand like this, the amputated hand must first be washed with normal saline (or cold water).

After cleaning, it must be wrapped in a clean plastic bag. (If possible, put in a plastic bag with a large sterile bandage soaked in normal saline.)

Then put it in an ice box and bring it to the hospital. It is known that it is best if you arrive at a large hospital with hand surgery specialists within (4) or (6) hours from the time the hand starts to break.
